When writing a narrative, we often use connectors of sequence to make the order of events clear:
At first, / In the beginning, / For a start,
In the beginning, / At first, / To begin with, (en primer lugar)
Secondly,
In the end, (=al final de la historia) / Finally,
Eventually, (=finalmente, con el tiempo)
Finally, / In the end,

Connetors of Addition:
At the beginning of a sentence followed by a comma:
· Also, / Furthermore, / In addition, / Moreover,

At the beginning of a sentence with no comma:
